The Spacebar Trick

The Spacebar Trick is a fast, lightweight way to preview a project without fully opening it in the main workspace.

Click to open. Click to close.

• Pressing the spacebar will open a project in a pop-up window.
• Pressing the spacebar again will close the window.
• This allows you to quickly scan multiple projects without navigating away from your dashboard.

If you're actively typing, the spacebar will not close the window (since it's being used as input). Simply click away from the typing field, then press spacebar again to close the window.

Long Hold

You can hold down the spacebar to preview a project momentarily. Once you release the key, the window will disappear. That lets you move even faster. You can click with your mouse while the spacebar is held (to, for example, edit production quantities), but typing is disabled during this interaction given the spacebar key is being held down.

This tool is ideal for quick edits or spot checks without losing your place.
